And the grand hall of the palace was simply a delight

It was so huge and after some walking around we were definitely tired.

Notre dame de Paris

Finding Quasimodo

We were already tired but at no cost would miss the Notre dame de Paris cathedral.

The architecture was magnificent and we wanted to go to the top, the queue was enormous though and we opted out.

Inside it was just as a normal cathedral, we bought candles and prayed.

We were too tired of exploring anymore.

We took the metro back and passed the supermarket for food and slept early.

Sacre Coeur

In search of the Holy Graal

We had a quick sandwich in a cafe and our next stop was the Sacre Coeur.

When we arrived it was closed for lunch. For the first time in my life I have heard of a cathedral closing for lunch.

We were on the verge of going when they finally opened the gates and allowed people waiting at the enormous queue to go in.

Once again our bags were scanned and were checked for metals.

The building was impressive and we admired the architecture.

Louvres Museum

Finding Mona Lisa

On our 2nd day in Paris we walked the short distance between the hotel to the Metro station, and headed for the Louvre Museum.

On the way we saw the office of the French Tourism office. We went in and bought a 3 day Paris pass which gave us entry to a series of Museums, castles and other attractions.

We entered by the large pyramid and accessed the main hallway of the museum.

When entering all Parisian monuments or museums, your bag is scanned just like in airports.

We wandered around the many alleys stacked with hundreds of "Objets d'art" (Art pieces)

And finally found her

We also explored the Egyptian part of the museum

We were by then hungry so, we got out and went hunting for food.
